Walk through the winter landscape

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the Trade Fair Palace will host a guided tour titled A Walk Through the Winter Landscape, led by Monika Drlíková.

Organized by the National Gallery Prague, this event focuses on the phenomenon of winter landscapes in Czech art. Participants will immerse themselves in paintings that capture the silence, tranquility, and timelessness of winter, while exploring their symbolism and emotional depth.

The tour will showcase works by renowned artists such as Adolf Kosárek, Jakub Schikaneder, František Janoušek, Zorka Ságlová, and Václav Kiml. Together with the guide, visitors will embark on an imaginary journey through winter landscapes, uncovering how the color white and winter motifs influence artistic expression.

Trade Fair Palace – A Place of History and Art
The Trade Fair Palace, hosting this event, is one of Prague’s most significant modern architectural landmarks. Built in the functionalist style in 1928, it originally served as a venue for trade exhibitions and fairs. Since the 1970s, it has been part of the National Gallery Prague, renowned for its rich collection of modern and contemporary art.
