Three kings Ice Swimming

The Three Kings Winter Swimming Event will take place on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, near Charles Bridge in Prague, traditionally marking the start of the winter swimming season right in the heart of the city.

This year marks the 15th edition of this unique winter event, organized in cooperation with the Czech Winter Swimming Association and the Charles Bridge Museum.

On the Feast of the Three Kings, winter swimmers will set out onto the Vltava River at noon aboard Vodouch boats, symbolically opening the swimming season in icy water. Spectators can watch the entire event directly from Charles Bridge or Křižovnické Square, making it an attractive spectacle not only for winter swimming enthusiasts but also for passersby and tourists.

The program begins at 11:45 AM with a photo session in front of the Charles Bridge Museum, followed by the departure of the boats at 12:00 PM and the swimming itself, which will conclude with the swimmers’ arrival at the Judita dock at 12:30 PM. The event combines tradition, athletic determination, and the unique winter atmosphere of historic Prague.
