Botanical Garden Christmas

This weekend, the Festetics Castle at the Botanical Garden will be dressed up in Christmas decorations. The three-century-old castle will be decorated by the garden’s staff and helpers. Visitors will be able to buy or even draw inspiration from the decorations, which are made by displaying the fruits, berries and plants in the garden.

Get in the mood for Christmas in the Botanic Garden and find inspiration for your own creations.
The decorations will be on display from 10am on Saturday 9 December 2023 until 3.30pm on Sunday 10 December 2023.
You can bid for the decorations to benefit the Botanical Garden’s Foundation.

launch of the book ‘Kortalan Fa’ (Ageless Tree)
The book is a reference book on the Ginkgo biloba, the fern tree.
Dr. László Orlóci, Director of the Botanical Garden, will give a presentation on this special tree species at the book launch.
The authors of the book are Dr. Szilvia Kisvarga, Dr. László Orlóci, Katalin Horotán.
The event is open to visitors with a Botanical Garden ticket.
