Prague Truffle Festival

Truffles aren’t just an ingredient you’ll find on the menus of expensive restaurants. The Prague Truffle Festival also explores their occurrence in the Czech Republic, their history, and the possibilities for cultivating them. Its third edition marks ten years of research into Czech truffles.

One of the main highlights of the program is the exhibition “The Secrets of the Czech Truffle” at the National Agricultural Museum. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about this rare mushroom and the findings that research has yielded in recent years. The festival also includes cooking classes featuring Burgundy truffles, a lecture on truffle cultivation, and recommendations for restaurants where you can sample this ingredient.

The program runs for a long time, from October through December 2026. Individual events have different dates, admission fees, and reservation policies, so it’s best to check the details directly with the organizer, Český lanýž.

The festival will appeal to food lovers, those interested in how truffles are sought out and cultivated outside their traditional European regions, and anyone who wants to learn more about gastronomy.
