If you’re looking for an event to attend this New Year’s Eve, we have a tip for you! The Slovak National Theatre has prepared a New Year’s Eve gala concert for you. The SND Opera will bid farewell to the year 2025 and toast to a happy entry into the New Year 2026 with three special concerts featuring favourite arias, toasts, choruses and orchestral numbers from well-known operas and operettas: Carmen (Bizet), The Merry Widow (Lehár), Peasants’ Chorus (Mascagni), The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni (Mozart), La rondine (Puccini), The Bartered Bride (Smetana), Die Fledermaus (Strauss), Otello and La traviata (Verdi).
After Christmas, we can definitely use a bit of exercise, and moving in the fresh air is always the best combination. Come and meet us and run with us across the Bratislava bridges. We will run over four bridges (Prístavný most, Most Apollo, Starý most, Most Lanfranconi), the course measures approximately 11,7 km.

Recording of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra’s Opera Gala concert. Famous opera arias and choruses will be performed by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and the Slovak Philharmonic Choir (choirmaster Jan Rozehnal) under the baton of Peter Valentovič. The arias will be performed by leading Slovak soloist Slávka Zámečníková, soloist Peter Kellner, and soloists from the Vienna State Opera. 🎤🎻
