New Year’s Eve concert

The Slovak Philharmonic traditionally presents New Year’s Eve concerts, which will put visitors in the mood for the festive atmosphere this time as well. The programme includes famous songs and popular opera melodies. If you have the desire and the time, the New Year’s Eve concerts will take place on 30 and 31 December 2022 at the Slovak Philharmonic.

The turn of the new and old year represents a magical time for many. We reminisce, evaluate what we could have done differently, better. At the same time, we anticipate what a variety of new experiences and life circumstances the next year will bring, we make new resolutions and, at least for a while, we try to be better people again. Music has a magical power, it is able to get under one’s skin, so to speak, to stimulate deeper emotions, to provide a space for at least a temporary exit from the merry-go-round of life, to enjoy the beauty of the moment… For many, it is opera or operetta arias and choruses that are the most impressive. Peter Valentovič, as a leading Slovak conductor, regularly performs with major domestic orchestras as well as on renowned foreign concert and opera stages. Eva Bodorová and Miroslav Dvorský have been in the operetta repertoire for a long time, so their interpretation will surely bring an unforgettable climax to the year.
