Come celebrate St. Martin’s Day in the historic city center. In addition to good wine, you can look forward to a varied musical program, contests, and a food court.
St. Martin’s Day celebrations have been linked to the winemaking tradition since the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Every year in November—not only here but also in the Czech Republic and Austria—the first wines from that year’s harvest are unveiled. According to an old tradition, a church dignitary blesses the wine from that year’s harvest.
