For one weekend, Prague will come alive with the colors, flavors, and rhythms of Latin America. Merkádo 2026 will take place on September 18–19, 2026, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the culture of Central and South America without leaving the city.
Throughout the festival, the market grounds will be filled with food vendors, artisan products, and cultural activities inspired by countries such as Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Visitors can sample traditional dishes, discover unique ingredients, and explore handcrafted products created by Latin American makers and entrepreneurs.
The program will feature live music, dance performances, workshops, and interactive activities celebrating the diversity of Latin American traditions. One of the highlights of the weekend will be a vibrant parade of drummers and performers, bringing a carnival-like atmosphere to Prague’s streets.
Families will also find plenty to enjoy, with creative workshops, games, face painting, and other activities designed for younger visitors.
Merkádo is more than a food festival—it is a cultural experience that brings together music, cuisine, creativity, and community in one of Prague’s most dynamic event spaces.
When: June 12–13, 2026
