Farmers’ Market at Náplavka

Every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the traditional Náplavka Farmers’ Market is held along Rašínovo nábřeží in Prague 2, one of the largest farmers’ markets in the Czech Republic.

This popular event draws visitors with its vibrant atmosphere, hosting over 90 vendors offering high-quality local products. The market features a broad selection of seasonal vegetables, fresh fruits, meats, sausages, dairy products, farm-fresh eggs, and baked goods. It’s an ideal spot for purchasing fresh farm produce while supporting sustainable shopping habits.

Náplavka is renowned for its diverse selection, which also includes ethical cosmetics, artisanal crafts, and original creations. The lively market atmosphere is enhanced by live music and a rich array of food options, including barista-made coffee. Visitors are encouraged to adopt eco-friendly habits—bringing their own containers, bags, and opting for reusable cups and sustainable packaging over plastic.

Additionally, the Náplavka Farmers’ Market often hosts special events such as Růžový máj (Pink May) and Svatomartinské slavnosti (St. Martin’s Festivities), adding thematic products and activities. Founded in 2009 by the Archetyp association, this market serves as an opportunity for local farmers, organic farms, and small producers to connect with the public in the city center while promoting eco-friendly and local shopping.
