1. Akkordeon Festival Vienna
Another edition of the International Akkordeon Festival returns to the stage. Already from February 25, if you'd like to relax and enjoy something a little less mainstream, without the hype and flair of traditional music festivals: Vienna’s unique Akkordeon Festival will bring you the loveliest accordion tunes and inspiring atmosphere. So, check out the festival's programme and choose from an array of shows to soothe your soul and eardrums. This year´s highlight will be a special harmonica performance by Mundharmonika Quartett Austria.
2. Vintage Kilo Sale
On 10th and 11th of February, Europe´s biggest Vintage Kilo Pop-up will take place in Vienna´s SIMM City at Simmeringer Hauptstrasse. Get yourself a ticket so you can buy exclusive vintage fashion pieces from the 60s – 00s at one-of-a-time price – 40/45€. Tickets can be purchased free of charge for a different time slot, to prevent huge masses of people. Flannels, cardigans, unique leather bags, accessories and more. Come to the SIMM City and find a new statement piece for your wardrobe.
3. International Orchid Show Vienna
The International Orchid Show will be held at the Hirschstetten botanical gardens in Vienna from February 22 to February 26. Come see the exquisite beauty of various orchids in their full glory. Many exhibitors will showcase their best plants in the botanical garden in two large glasshouses. The orchids range in size, colour, species, shape and uniqueness. Some of the exhibitors will sell various plants and gardening supplies to stock up your gardens. Come to the Hirschtetten botanical gardens and enjoy the International Orchid show!
4. Iron Art Family & Kids Fun Expo
This month, the Iron Art Family & Kids Fun Expo makes its debut at MARX HALLE in Vienna. On nearly 9000m2, a fantasy world with steel Transformers and superhero figures awaits you. These steel giants are hand-built from old car parts and gearboxes; the largest ones have over 2500 individual parts and stand 10 metres tall. Selfies with your favourite superheroes, princesses, and Transformers are encouraged. The Highlight of the Expo is a wonderful Spiderman adventure bouncy castle with a climbing tower, slides, and much more.
5. Wiener Fasching in Messe Wien
If you´ve never experienced traditional Viennese Fasching (carnival) season you are in for a treat! This month, in Messe Wien, you´ll have a wonderful chance to experience the madness of a Viennese carnival on your own and have fun till you can´t no more. Dress up for this amazing party and let your inner demon out. Whether sexy, unique or weird, we are excited to see which costume you´ll pull out. Hosts include cabaret artists such as MC MA, Tricky Niki, Ludwig Müller, Hans Wernele and plenty others.
6. K-Pop Fantasy Night
A great party will be happening this month at B72 club. Prepare yourself to dance and have fun with the selection of the best K-pop music. Be sure to dance your butt off to the beats of the most famous Korean bands like BTS, Blackpink, Itzy, Stray kids and many more. Who knows, maybe they will play the all-time K-pop classics like Big Bang, Girls Generation, Exid or PSY as well. Special happy hour for drinks will be available to all visitors so make sure you won´t miss out on this amazing party at B72!
7. Vienna Whisky Convention
Vienna will finally become an international whisky hotspot on the third weekend of February! Numerous distilleries, brand managers, traders, and independent bottlers will present top brands and varieties from around the world. The Vienna Whisky Convention is all about experiencing and enjoying this delicious amber liquid, which can be enjoyed on the barley floor of Vienna's Ottakringer brewery, where tradition meets modernity and experienced whisky enthusiasts will get their money's worth just as much as newcomers.
8. Black Parade Vienna
This February, a fantastic event will take place in Vienna! This month's BLACK PARADE in SIMM City Vienna can be described as nostalgia awakened. This party features everything emo and scene from the 2000s to the present. Refresh your musical memory with My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, Paramore, Muse, or even German classics such as Cascada, Die ärtzte, Tokio Hotel, and many more. Get your ripped skinny jeans out of the closet, some black polish on your fingernails, and come to SIMM City in Vienna to celebrate the past.
9. Falco Concert & Party
The Goldfisch' are a staple of the Austrian music scene, featuring members of the original Falco band. As is the tradition, all of them get together once a year and let the falcon fly high. There will be no impersonators, karaoke, or playback. This year, the artists return to the U4 to pay tribute to Falco who is known as Austria´s first pop star and review his musical output. The legendary Falco party follows the concert and lasts until the early hours of the morning! Certainly a great way how to spend your evening in the rhythm of Austrian pop.
10. ParadEis for Kids
If your children enjoy ice skating and being outside, this is a fantastic way how to tire them out! Curling is available on two rinks at Badeschiff Vienna, including children's ice sticks. The fruity children's punch emits a magical scent throughout the punch deck, and when hunger strikes, a warming snack is also provided. This event is appropriate for children aged 6 to 16, so bring your little angels to Badeschiff to enjoy the Viennese winter season and its staple sport, ice skating.
