Buch Wien 25 takes place from November 12 to 16, 2025 at the Vienna Exhibition Center and is Austria’s largest book fair and most important literary festival. For five days, Vienna will be all about literature when more than 500 exhibitors, publishers and authors from numerous countries present their works.

Visitors can expect a varied program of readings, discussions, workshops, book signings and special events. In addition to the main exhibition hall, many other locations in the city bookshops, theaters, museums and cafés -will also be involved in the festival.

Buch Wien sees itself not only as a sales fair, but also as a platform for cultural exchange, social debates and encounters between authors and the public. Special attention is also paid to children’s and young adult literature, new media forms and topics such as sustainability, journalism and digital culture.

The festival is a meeting place for literature enthusiasts, publishers, teachers and families alike.
