On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Day of Monuments will take place again. On this special day, numerous historical buildings and museums in Vienna will open their doors free of charge – often including areas that otherwise remain closed all year round.
This year’s motto is “Monuments: Value for All.” The focus is on the significant value that historical buildings and sites hold for society as a whole.
Program Highlights:
Austrian National Library
Otto Wagner Church at Steinhof
Belvedere 21 Museum of Contemporary Art
Künstlerhaus Wien
Villa Beer
