Christmas Exhibition and Market

The 21st Christmas exhibition takes place in the event glasshouse 1 (Greenhouse 1) and features lovingly crafted floral displays under the theme “Time Travel through Christmas Magic”. This enchanting journey highlights themes from the past 20 years, such as: “Christmas in the Far North” (2007), “Fairies, Trolls, Magical Creatures” (2010), “The Snow Queen” (2018), “Christmas Around the World” (2022).

Traditional Advent market

The Advent market with over 50 stalls leads from the north entrance through the decorated garden landscape to the exhibition glass houses and on to the south entrance. On offer are traditional gingerbread products, chestnuts and baked potatoes, waffles and dried fruit, as well as fish, bacon, cheese and pumpkin seed products. You can also buy handcrafted Christmas gifts, such as wooden toys, knitwear or ceramics, as well as Christmas tree decorations.

Crafting fun for children

There will be a craft station in Event Glass House 2 from 12 noon to 6 pm on each of the opening days. With the help of the Vienna City Gardeners, children can make their own Christmas arrangements from brushwood and take them home as a souvenir.

The crafting sessions start on the hour between 12 noon and 5 pm. Please note that a maximum of 8 children can take part in each craft session.

The Donaustädter Kulturverein presents a diverse lineup of musical performances this year, including classical Christmas songs, Country X-Mas and traditional Viennese music.
