This Christmas market is about as central as they come since it curls around the edges of Stephansdom. The cathedral makes for a wonderful backdrop, and the market allows you to refresh yourself after strolling through the centre of Vienna. One end of the market meets the parking spot for the horse-drawn carriages that ply their trade in town, which adds another level of historical atmosphere to the already-known imperial Christmas atmosphere.
This year, once again, this wonderful market will open its doors to all who are interested in a Christmas atmosphere, mulled wine, wonderful handicrafts at great prices and much more. Be sure to check it out and feel the atmosphere of a truly magnificent Viennese Christkindl Markt.
