Vienna Design Week

If you’re a fan of design, or you’re perhaps in the midst of redecorating your home, we have a suggestion for you. For ten days, Vienna will host an array of exhibitions, little expos and showcases which will present the current and up-to-date trends when it comes to design. Come and broaden your horizon when it comes to design, lifestyle and aesthetic sense and be inspired by the creations you’ll see at the Vienna Design Week 2024.

The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK is Austria’s most important multidisciplinary and curated design festival. Beyond dealing with the design of products, it poses the question of what role the work of designers plays for coexistence in the city and worldwide.

The formats that have grown in the 17 years of the festival’s history, such as City Work and Urban Food & Design, have established themselves as fixed components of the structure of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. This is followed by a variety of supporting events (talks, tours, openings, workshops, …). The programme contributions created by the numerous external partners are also a crucial addition to the festival programme. From 2022, these are presented under the name PLATFORM.

Almost all of the venues and programmes of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK are open to the public free of charge. The supporting association is non-profit and finances the festival and the annual activities of a small organisational team through a mixture of public funding, sponsorship and contributions from exhibitors.
