Amon Amarth and Machine Head in one night! On September 24, 2022, two of metal’s greats take over the Hovet, as their joint Vikings And Lionhearts tour reaches Stockholm. They’ll also have The Halo Effect with them.

2022 marks 30 years since Amon Amarth formed in Tumba. In the years since, they have marched resolutely from the dark rehearsal halls of the suburbs to conquer the world and become one of Sweden’s biggest metal exports by far. Along the way they have released modern classics like “Fate of Norns”, “Surturn Rising” and most recently the heavy “Berserker”. Now we once again get the chance to see one of the metal world’s most beloved bands on home turf. No expense will be spared – musically or pyrotechnically – as Amon Amarth now fill the Hovet with their melodic metal, spiced with inspiration and stories from the Viking Age and Norse mythology.

Machine Head has long been established as one of the world’s most influential metal bands. They exploded into our consciousness by redefining what it means to be hard with their 1994 debut album “Burn My Eyes”. Nearly three decades later, the band has built up an unparalleled catalogue of classic records, while also cementing themselves as one of the heavier school’s most powerful and relentless live bands.

Machine Head have continued to evolve throughout, without ever compromising their brutal approach or their underground roots. They stand against all trends and are proud to stand alone: Machine Head is still the bulldozer that crushes everything!

Tonight’s support band is The Halo Effect, a band made up of In Flames celebrities Jesper Strömblad, Mikael Stanne, Daniel Svensson, Peter Iwers and Niclas Engelin.
