Then come along for the Ghost Hunting Cruise – a 3 day experience of fun, drinks, ghost hunting and scary stuff! All of this will happen at the board of one of the most beautiful ships so if you need a spicy adventure, 1st December should be marked in your calendar.
The most popular period of wonders is at Skansen. The annual Christmas Market at Skansen is one of the best winter experiences for visitors and locals alike! Bring the family along for a warm tea or coffee and snacks, or take the kids to several wonderful exhibitions and fun activities. The market starts on 24 November and runs throughout the weekends.
Färgfabriken is home to many markets and events, so it’s no surprise that it hosts its own Christmas market from 9 to 12 December. Live music, a café with delicious drinks and fika, lots and lots of stalls with handicrafts and amazing artwork at good prices… the only ingredient missing is you and your loved ones!
One of the most famous December events is the annual dog show, where all dog lovers and owners take part in a competition to show off their beloved four-legged pets. This dog show is open to everyone, adults and children alike, but be sure to get your tickets before December 9, when the event begins.
Just like last year, this December will be full of different Christmas markets. One of the biggest is Beckmans Christmas Market, located at Rosendals Trädgård. The market is free for all and runs from 9 December to 10 December. Just walking among the stalls while sipping hot drinks is enough to fall in love with this special market.
The Swedish group Kebnekajse prides itself on its originality, members and uniqueness. The band is popular for its unique electrified violin music and tones that will move your body on their own. Fasching is the perfect venue for such a groovy experience and will be hosting Kebnekajse on December 9. Get your tickets while you can through Nortic.
Another place with a wide selection of goods and delicacies is the amazing Christmas market at Sjöhistoriska where various sellers from Baltic countries offer their products. The entry to this market is free and after last year’s success you can expect a lot more sellers and therefore even more things to choose the best presents from. The market starts on 2nd December.
One of the annual acts that lights up the Stockholm music scene is the one and only Lars Winnerbäck. A new album calls for a new celebratory tour and means more joy for the fans. Avicii Arena will host this live performance on December 2 and tickets are on sale at United Stage. This melodic and popular Swedish band is well worth your time!
December is the time for Christmas markets all over Sweden, and each one is unique and cosy. We invite you to visit the popular Christmas market at Skeppsholmsgården – the hot snacks and drinks, music, the smell of spices and the long line of stalls make it one of the most enchanting experiences in Stockholm. The market starts on 16 December.
Annual hobby meeting of paddlers on Saint Lucia Day is back! All sport loving people who even in winter want to stay in shape and – of course – love paddling are welcome to join this free event on 10th December. If you also happen to know more paddlers, bring them along for this cozy and healthy meeting with their fellow paddling enthusiasts. The more the merrier!
