The Greenhouse Festival

For the fifth year in a row, the Garden will open its doors for the food and wine festival Växthusfesten. The event will take place on August 26 between 12:00 – 20:00 and will attract food and drink enthusiasts to a unique and inspiring atmosphere.

In recent years, interest in food and wine has steadily increased, driven by a growing awareness of how our choices affect both the environment and health.

With a keen eye for trends and societal developments, Trädgården has embraced this trend. For the fifth year in a row, they are collaborating with Jon Birgne and Niki Sjölund – the visionaries behind the year-round restaurant Växthuset – to organize the popular food and wine festival Växthusfesten.

Niki Sjölund explains:
“This year we are focusing on open fire cooking, cider, natural wine and craft beer. This is combined with a vegetable market run by Karshamra Mat & Trädgård.”

The Greenhouse Festival focuses on honest and transparent wines along with a vegetarian culinary experience. By bringing together winemakers and food producers who share a passion for sustainability and authenticity, the event creates a platform where visitors can enjoy the best in wines, craft beers, ciders and pet food. They can also sample food and snacks from some of the country’s top producers, all with a vegetarian focus.

The Greenhouse Festival not only offers an extraordinary tasting experience, but also organizes creative craft workshops. The event includes several contributors who share a common passion for honesty, sustainability and craftsmanship. Among these enthusiasts is Linda Klasson from GLÖD Vildmarkskök, who will be cooking over an open fire. We will also get to know Sorella, who specializes in basketry and wickerwork among the participants.
