If you are a fan of traditional Czech pig-slaughtering delicacies, don’t miss the Masopust Feast, which will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Kubáň farmers’ market in Prague 10.
From 8 AM to 12 PM, a wide range of popular dishes will be served, prepared by the butchery Martin Řeřicha from Chomutov.
During this event, you can look forward to a truly diverse selection of slaughter specialties, including jitrnice (white pudding), jelita (blood sausage), tlačenka (head cheese) in classic and special variations, slaughter goulash, black barley soup, tripe soup, lard with cracklings, crackling spread, and jitrnice and jelita stuffing. Everything will be prepared in the traditional way, with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients and authentic taste.
If you’d like to take some treats home, you are welcome to bring your own containers, though it’s not required. In addition to the feast, the regular farmers’ market will be taking place at Kubánské náměstí, where you can purchase fresh and high-quality products from local farmers and vendors.
The Kubáň farmers’ market is a long-time member of the Association of Farmers’ Markets of the Czech Republic, ensuring a high-quality selection and support for small producers. Come and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Masopust feasting, taste traditional pig-slaughtering delicacies, and shop for fresh ingredients directly from farmers. Masopust at Kubáň promises not only great food but also a pleasant encounter with tradition and gastronomy in the heart of the city.
