Festival Alternativa Prague

From November 14 to 22, 2025, Prague’s stages Archa+, MeetFactory, and the Church of St. Salvator will come alive with unique performances as part of Festival Alternativa 2025 – the oldest showcase of experimental and independent music in the Czech Republic.

This iconic festival, which has shaped Prague’s alternative scene for over three decades, brings bold musical experiments, improvisation, and encounters between international and local artists who defy genre boundaries.

The 33rd edition will feature a diverse lineup of performers, including B4, Ghost Ship Ensemble, MSHR, Bratislavský Improvizačný Orchestr, Angelica Castelló & Jérôme Noetinger, Hüma Utku, Jules Reidy, Makan, Water Damage, and many more.

Festival Alternativa unites legends of the avant-garde and free jazz scenes with emerging talents who bring fresh perspectives to the world of experimental music. Visitors can look forward to a one-of-a-kind experience filled with sound experiments, improvisation, and an intense atmosphere that transcends conventional musical categories.

Alternativa 2025 is more than a festival – it is a platform for creative freedom, intergenerational dialogue, and a celebration of the courage to create differently.
