LUSTR festival

Join the 10th anniversary festival celebrating illustration and comics this week in Prague! Lustr will take place from 21-26 September at the Hybernská Campus, where you can see the best and freshest of contemporary illustration in one place in Prague. Czech, Slovak and international artists are represented here, presenting their works in the form of individual installations from which illustration emerges into other dimensions.

The main exhibition, entitled Metafest, will present international illustrators and comic creators selected by ten curators of international festivals of similar nature in their regions. LUSTR will bring guests from all over the world to celebrate its 10th birthday.

This year, the National Scene will present the Czech one – it will recapitulate the most outstanding participants of the past 10 years and at the same time present their current work.

In addition to LUSTR, the illustrator duo Tomski&Polanski is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and a part of the exhibition programme will also be dedicated to them. It will be a unique opportunity to see a broader overview of the work of Lukáš Tomski and Ilona Polanski, who are among the most successful creators of contemporary Czech illustration.
A traditional part of the exhibition programme is the Young Talents Showcase, a free showcase of the best work produced in the studios over the last year. The freshest from the illustration scene, and new names in one place.
