Culture Night at City Hall

Come to Stadshuset for a party!

On Culture Night, we invite you to a full evening in the building’s magnificent ballrooms, the Blue Hall and the Golden Hall. We fill the house with swinging live jazz, magnificent organ concerts, festive quizzes, guided tours and talks, beautiful singing and other festive elements. Of course, the Stadshustornet is open!

STADSHUSTORNET
For those who want to enjoy the bright spring evening and Stockholm’s best views, the Stadshustornet tower is specially open for the evening. Tickets for the evening’s tower entrances are released at 18.00 at Borgargården.
It is first come, first served and a maximum of two tickets per person.

18.00-18.15
ADOLF FREDRIK’S MUSIC CLASSES BEGIN THE EVENING
Beautiful choral singing sets the tone for the evening’s party!

18.00-23.00
POP-UP TOURS OF STOCKHOLM’S MOST MAGNIFICENT HALLS
Short tours of the Blue Hall and Golden Hall in Swedish. The tours start every full hour in the Blue Hall and every half hour in the Golden Hall. They are about 10 minutes long.

18.15-22.30
COLORFUL ORGAN CONCERTS WITH 11,000 PIPES
The City Hall organist plays festive organ music every hour starting at 18:15.

18.30 and 21.00
FESTIVE QUIZ WITH STOCKHOLMSKÄLLAN
Compete in tonight’s festive quiz! The quiz takes about 30 minutes.

NOBEL UNVEILING – LIVE
Watch the unveiling of a Nobel envelope in the Blue Hall. Ask your questions about the party!

18.45-23.15
JAZZ CONCERTS IN THE GOLDEN HALL
Every hour starting at 18.45, Minutes Ltr plays swinging jazz in Stockholm’s most glittering room.

19.30 and 20.15
ABOUT LUXURY AND SPLENDOR – LECTURE WITH STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY
Hear an associate professor talk about luxury in society through the ages.

19.30 and 21.30
STOCKHOLM’S INDIAN CHOIR SINGS IN THE BLUE HALL
Listen to festive choral singing in the main hall of the City Hall.

21.30 and 22.00

A historian talks about the building’s first party.

FOOD AND DRINK DURING THE EVENING
If you get hungry and thirsty, Stadshuskällaren is open, and especially for the evening there are bars in both the Golden Hall and the Blue Hall.
