The Ball der Wiener Wirtschaft is one of the oldest and most traditional balls in Austria. Every year, more than 3,000 visitors flock to the magnificent halls of the Vienna Hofburg, where the Viennese Business community can be experienced with all their senses at the ball. This year, the Vienna Business Association will once again ensure that the ball night on Friday, 27 January 2023 will be unforgettable with very special ideas and highlights.

In addition to atmospheric dancing, the Viennese Business Ball offers a colourful potpourri of entertaining programme highlights – in addition to the unique opening flag parade, enchanting gourmet stands with the finest food from Viennese trade await the ball guests’ sense of taste and smell.
As every year, admission to the Hofburg begins punctually at 8 pm, followed by the festive opening from 9 pm in the magnificent ballroom – including the traditional flag parade, the black and white chequerboard design of the Young Ladies’ and Young Gentlemen’s Committee, the entry of the numerous guests of honour and a rousing opening show.

Numerous orchestras, bands and DJs will provide varied background music in the various halls of the Hofburg. At midnight, in addition to the Bat Quadrille, there will once again be a spectacular performance of international fame. Who will follow last year’s star guests – Anastacia and Nena – is still a well-kept secret, however, and will be announced first.

The dress code remains the same as in previous years: The ladies dress in a long evening gown, large ball gown, festive costume or uniform, the gentlemen come in dinner jacket, tailcoat, festive costume or uniform.

By the way: when the ball ends at 4.00 a.m., the official after-party starts just a few steps away in the “Volksgarten”. The gates open for our ball guests from 3 a.m. onwards, and admission is free on presentation of the ball ticket (from 18 years of age).
