From 21 to 29 January, the 9th Budapest International Documentary Film Festival will take place with nearly 60 films and 200 screenings. This year, however, the films will be screened not only at the Cinema City Mammut cinema in Budapest, but also in 10 other cities. After the screenings, there will be talks with the filmmakers and the awards will be decided by a jury of international and national experts and filmmakers, including Vilmos Gryllus, György Spiró, Tamás Jordán and Gábor Máté.
From January 21 to 29 2023, the 9th edition of BIDF – The Budapest International Documentary Festival – the world’s freshest, internationally acclaimed feature-length documentaries will delight moviegoers in Budapest and 10 major cities across Hungary.
The festival’s theme for this year is RESPECT LIFE! “DO NOT KILL!”
All movies are screened in their original language with ENGLISH and HUNGARIAN subtitles.
