The Ratha-Yātrā is one of India’s oldest celebrations, which has also been organized in the West for the past 50 years. The leitmotif of the festival will be peace and the feeling that we are all part of one big family. The participants will be able to pull the loving form of Krishna through the city on a chariot, which according to tradition will bring good luck. The procession will start from Vörösmarty Square at 10 a.m. and will be led by dancers and musicians. At 1:00 p.m., they will arrive at Városliget, where the India Festival awaits the visitors until the evening with cultural programs, yoga, a flea market, oriental jamming, a book fair, henna painting, as well as vegan treats.
