Easter Markets in Prague

The popular annual Easter markets will take place at various places throughout Prague. Come and visit Old Town Square, Václavské náměstí, Náměstí Republiky, Náměstí Míru or Prague Castle where you can enjoy a variety of culinary specialties and traditional goods such as mazance, Easter lambs, hand-painted eggs, pomlazky, spring flowers, embroidered tablecloths and wooden toys. For children the organizators have prepared fun creative activities such as painting Easter eggs, making decorations, baking lambs and knitting pom poms.

The Easter market offers not only entertainment, a wide range of good food and drink, but also authentic demonstrations of traditional customs and crafts. The centre of the action will be the traditional Easter decorated birch tree, under which you can enjoy a cultural programme in the afternoon. There will be performances by professional and amateur singing and dancing groups and ethnographic and folklore groups from various parts of the Czech Republic and abroad.
