Romance at the Observatory

On Valentine’s Day, the winter full moon smiles down on lovers in a romantic, ancient park surrounded by the classicist observatory domes. ??

The programme will start in the warm and space-scented auditorium, where a special selection of celestial romance will be presented: from the Planet of Love to the Heart Nebula and the Garnet Star, to the naughty adventures of Greek and Hungarian star legends. ☺️

Then, in the observatory dome, you can learn about the romantic lives of astronomers. Finally, you can take a look at the round moon with our telescope giant, which will reach its full moon phase in a day. At hundreds of times magnification, you can take a virtual moonwalk along the exotic-shaped magnetic field of Reiner Gamma and see the lava-filled crater floor of the huge 173 km long Grimaldi crater. Finally, you can admire the even larger 212 km long Schickard crater giant’s bumpy walls and tiny side craters.
And with a mobile phone adaptor mounted on the telescope, you can take your own moon photos to take home as a keepsake of your Valentine’s Day observatory visit. ???
