New date for the Látkép Art History Festival! The Centre for Humanities Research will organise its art history festival “Látkép 2021” , which was cancelled in September 2020 due to the pandemic, from 23-25 September 2021 at the Research Centre for the Humanities in Budapest.
The aim of the festival, which will offer a diverse programme of events, is to chart the ever-expanding horizon of art history and its ever-enriching professional map, presenting the latest research trends, questions and results in a kaleidoscopic way.
The conference sessions, which form the backbone of the programme, reflect the diversity of contemporary art historical research and the methodological richness of approaches. They will address global themes as well as specific Central European phenomena.
However, Látkép 2021 is not only opening up to new methods and other disciplines, but also aims to reach out to the wider public through events of different genres. Going beyond the traditional conference, it will become a festival: participants can choose from a varied programme of workshops, talks and collection walks; browse the poster section with coffee and scones in hand; and for the more adventurous, try their skills in the thematic escape room.
Place: Bölcsészettudományi Kutatóközpont Művészettörténeti Intézet, Tóth Kálmán s. 4.
Date: September 23 – 25
