Fathers Day beer festival

On Saturday, June 14, a lively, beer-filled, music-powered summer kickoff awaits visitors in Rákosliget as the APA Day Beer Festival returns to the courtyard of the Csekovszky Árpád Cultural Center. Organized by Rákosmenti Serház, the event brings back its signature mobile tap truck, the Serbusz, loaded with a wide selection of Guri craft beers for lovers of quality brews.

Alongside the drinks, Papa Joe’s team will be grilling up handcrafted burgers, ensuring that the gastronomic offerings match the level of the beverages. But the day offers far more than just food and drink: it’s a full-day celebration packed with engaging activities.

Festivalgoers can look forward to a beer history talk with Tamás Hricsovinyi, a beer-themed quiz afternoon (with “beer breaks”), a beer mug beauty contest, games and sports equipment for kids, and a full lineup of live music. The Beatboys band will perform iconic hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s across the genres of beat, blues, country, and rock & roll, while DJ László Kalmár will spin tunes from chilled lounge tracks to upbeat electronic beats all day long.

Teams wishing to participate in the quiz should register in advance by sending their team name and number of participants to kviz.rakosmentiserhaz@gmail.com. Anyone can enter the beer mug contest by bringing their favorite or most unique mug—judged both by a panel and the public. If you’d like, your special mug might even be filled with beer during the event!
