The Mouvement Festival returns to Budapest with a stronger international lineup and an expanded program. The event takes place at the Hungarian University of Sports Science K building and is designed primarily for dancers – but it’s open to anyone interested in the scene.
The concept is simple: created by dancers, for dancers. The focus is on connection, quality and atmosphere, whether through workshops, parties or social dancing.
Two styles, two rooms
The festival centers around two main styles: Urban Kiz and Bachata. Two separate rooms run in parallel, allowing participants to choose between styles throughout the event. Organizers also aim to maintain a balanced ratio between leaders and followers.
Program structure
The event spans several days and includes:
a Thursday pre-party
a three-day festival program
workshops with international instructors
three social dance events
evening parties with DJs
It’s not just about learning – it’s about dancing, meeting people and being part of the community.
International lineup
The festival features DJs and teachers from across Europe, including France, Spain, the Netherlands, Romania and beyond.
Urban Kiz highlights include DJs like Hugo Smile and Snakes, and teachers such as Said & Oksana. On the bachata side, artists like Alonso & Noelia and Alexandros are part of the program.
Dance crews and local communities also contribute to the overall experience.
Atmosphere
The Mouvement is less about being a traditional festival and more about creating a shared space for dancers. Days are filled with workshops, while evenings shift into social dancing and parties in a relaxed, international environment.
Location and practical info
The venue is easily accessible, with several hotels within walking distance (Novotel Budapest Congress, Bara Hotel, ibis and Mercure Budapest Castle Hill), as well as many apartment options nearby.
Tickets are available online, with different pass options for the full experience.
