If you love vintage treasures, second-hand gems, or just the special vibe of flea markets, then Szimpla Kert is the place to be on Saturday, April 26! The Great Budapest Kultúrzsibi is back, taking over Kazinczy Street for five hours of one of the city’s most colorful and popular open-air markets. Entry is free – just bring your curiosity, some cash, and let the treasure hunt begin!

This isn’t just any market – it’s a community event where anyone can be a seller or a buyer. Got some books, clothes, vinyl records, or antiques in good condition you’d like to pass on? Rent a table! The fee is 3,000 HUF per table, payable on-site. Tables are provided by the organizers, and you can request more than one if you’re bringing a larger collection.

What makes Kultúrzsibi special is its location in one of Budapest’s most iconic ruin bars, Szimpla Kert – so the atmosphere is guaranteed. Expect music, mulled wine or lemonade, a buzzing crowd, and an eclectic mix of retro items, vintage clothes, records, handmade trinkets, rarities, and surprises. You can literally feel the scent of the past here.

This event is held every fourth Saturday of the month, so if you can’t make it this time, don’t worry – there’ll be more chances. But if you can swing by now, the spring sunshine and nostalgic vibes make an unbeatable combo!
