This summer, JAZZFEST BUDAPEST once again transforms Budapest into one of Europe’s most exciting jazz destinations.
Over several days, the festival brings world-famous jazz legends, groundbreaking contemporary artists and outstanding Hungarian musicians to the open-air stage at Városháza Park.
The lineup goes far beyond traditional jazz:
modern jazz, Latin jazz, fusion, avant-garde projects, world music and experimental performances all come together in the heart of Budapest.
The atmosphere is one of the festival’s biggest highlights: warm summer evenings, outdoor concerts, spontaneous improvisation and audiences enjoying everything from intimate piano moments to explosive saxophone solos.
June 27 – Sunrise Jazz & Miles Davis Tribute
The festival begins with the atmospheric Sunrise Surprise concert at Filozófusok kertje, where live jazz blends with the sounds of the waking city.
Later that evening, Terence Blanchard and Ravi Coltrane pay tribute to Miles Davis and John Coltrane, celebrating one of the most iconic collaborations in jazz history.

June 28 – Al Di Meola Acoustic Trio
Legendary guitarist Al Di Meola arrives in Budapest with his Acoustic Trio for an evening of virtuoso guitar performances, Latin influences and contemporary jazz.

• Kalima
The evening combines Mediterranean, South American and Korean musical influences with modern improvisation and cinematic atmospheres.
June 29 – Soul, Jazz & Vocal Performances
José James and China Moses celebrate the 50th anniversary of Marvin Gaye’s legendary I Want You album in a special tribute performance.
One of the festival’s most anticipated concerts comes from acclaimed Korean vocalist Youn Sun Nah alongside pianist Bojan Z, blending jazz, chanson, pop and experimental music into a uniquely emotional performance.

June 30 – Pat Metheny Live in Budapest
Jazz guitar legend Pat Metheny brings his innovative Side-Eye III+ project to Budapest, performing alongside some of the most exciting young American jazz musicians.

• Gyémánt Bálint Trio
• Lowland
• Varga Bendegúz Quartet feat. Koncz Kriszta
Including modern jazz reinterpretations of iconic grunge-era songs.
July 1 – Charles Lloyd & Spiritual Jazz
Charles Lloyd Sky Quartet delivers what promises to be one of the festival’s most emotional and transcendent performances.
The evening also celebrates Mihály Borbély’s 70th birthday with an all-star concert featuring Erik Truffaz and Shai Maestro.

July 2 – Marcus Miller’s “We Want Miles!”
The festival closes with one of its biggest highlights:
Marcus Miller’s We Want Miles! project featuring legendary musicians connected to Miles Davis’ iconic bands.

• Péch Lóránt Quartet
From Korean fusion jazz to progressive European improvisation, the final evening promises an incredible musical journey.
