What are we sacrificing on the altar of youth? The Hungarian National Dance Company’s dance for adults reflects on the great question of our time, and unlike the classic Dracula story, it is set in a Transylvanian village inhabited by Hungarians and Romanians. The neighbourhood, terrified of the bloodthirsty vampire, lives in fear: men are afraid of their love, fathers of their daughters, of the mysterious creature who attracts the bewitched women like a magnet and sucks their vital, fresh energy. But stolen youth is fleeting, only hunger is eternal…
Count Dracula’s fascinating tale is a magical experience, inspired by the wonderful world of Transylvanian folk music and the rich and unique virtuosity of the dances of the Transylvanian peoples.
