Children’s Day on Hunyadi Square

A day where silliness is not just allowed, but encouraged. On May 25, Terézváros welcomes children and families to Hunyadi Square for a joyful Children’s Day celebration filled with colors, laughter, and playful adventures.

Organizers invite everyone to arrive in their funniest hats, shirts, or brightest socks — or to create a one-of-a-kind headpiece on site.

The event offers full-day entertainment for both young and old. The program features puppet theater, stilt walkers, fun contests, children’s concerts, and a clown show, along with creative workshops, traditional games, a wooden carousel, and the district’s first-ever children’s flea market. Kids will have the chance to sculpt with vegetables, craft their own soap, and design whimsical hats — all while enjoying a carefree, imaginative atmosphere.
