Müpa Children’s Day

For Children’s Day, Müpa Budapest transforms its popular Sunday Cifra Palota programme into a massive all-day family festival filled with music, storytelling, creative workshops and interactive activities. Programs will take place both inside the building and outdoors across multiple stages and activity zones.

The event is mainly designed for children aged 0–12, but families and adults are equally welcome to join the experience. Instead of typical amusement park attractions, the focus is on meaningful shared experiences through music, dance, creativity and play.

The outdoor music stage in front of Müpa will host concerts and interactive performances throughout the day, including percussion performances by Ritmuslabor, a youth wind orchestra concert, dance performances by Búgócsiga Zenede, interactive children’s concerts by Zabszalma and a musical storytelling performance with the Superar choir.

Inside the Festival Theatre, visitors can enjoy folk dance performances inspired by traditions from across the Carpathian Basin, while the Atrium stage will feature puppet theatre, dance performances, children’s storytelling programs and interactive folk dance sessions.

The festival also includes a huge variety of all-day activities:

• textile bag decorating

• mandala painting
• wind chime making
• wheel throwing workshops
and many more hands-on activities.

Children interested in music can also visit instrument playgrounds, instrument-making workshops and musical development sessions, while toddlers can enjoy baby singalongs, puppet storytelling and cosy film corners.

The entire event is free to attend.
