Müpa Children’s Day

A day when Müpa transforms into a real fairytale world. On Sunday, May 25, Müpa Budapest’s traditional Cifra Palota programme will expand into its largest celebration yet, in honor of Children’s Day.

Music, stories, dance, and creative experiences await families across three stages—both indoors and outdoors—all completely free of charge.

The event aims to offer a meaningful, experience-rich day that goes far beyond typical cotton candy fun: children can learn through play, create, make music, dance, and engage in workshops, while parents can enjoy high-quality performances and activities. The entire day revolves around music and movement, with a special focus on interactive workshops, inclusive and traditional folk games, sustainability, and the heritage of old crafts.

– Eco Village, Story Grove, Traditional Farm Courtyard with oven baking
– Seven Challenges obstacle course, Dragon Castle knight trials
– Folk games, giant board games, inclusive and skill-based activities
– Craft workshops: pottery, origami, painting, rag dolls, instrument making, upcycling
– Music rooms: instrument petting zoo, solmization games, cajón, echo play, musical board games
– Baby Island (ages 0–3): nursery rhymes, puppet corner, sensory development area

This day is for the whole family—from toddlers to teens, from parents to grandparents. Müpa Budapest offers shared experiences, cultural enrichment, and creative fun for everyone—a true celebration for children and the child at heart.
