This year a festival with a great atmosphere will take place in the MVM Dome. If you’re into funky music, this is the place for you. You can enjoy a unique evening of colour and fun on 27 June. Come and recharge your batteries with positive energy!

We are pleased to announce the Funky Festival 2024, where the greats of Funky music will line up. Funky is not only a style of music, not only a realm of rhythms and colours, but also a way of life charged with positive energy, which equals fun and joie de vivre. It carries with it the vibrant sounds and grooves that are inextricably linked to the legends of the style in the Funky universe. The festival will feature three iconic and defining bands that will guarantee a rocking atmosphere. Imre Suri and László Jazzkovács, the well-known Hungarian DJs of the Get Funky Party, will take care of the transitions between the bands, and their personalities are the best guarantee to enhance the party. Kool & The Gang – Best Of
The legendary band has been hitting the stages since 1969, and has brought us hits like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie… Two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits and 9 Top Ten Pop hits – just to name a few of the many accolades. The great masters of Funky, their music has rewritten the course of history. Not only are they the pride of the past, but they continue to create, innovate and wow fans around the world today.
They are constantly being honoured in the world of hip-hop, their hits are interspersed in the biggest films and their concerts remain an everlasting memory. Let’s celebrate together the power of music and more than 50 years of Kool & the Gang! Those who love R&B, Funky and good music should not miss this concert. The groove never stops – Kool & The Gang is an everlasting experience!

Earth Wind & Fire experience by Al McKay – Best Of
Led by legendary guitarist Al McKay, Earth, Wind & Fire is made up of some of the best studio and live musicians in Los Angeles. They perform Super Group hits in original tones and atmospheres, maintaining the high quality of the EWF sound, their music is rhythm-rich and effervescent.

The band’s history dates back to 1990, when Al McKay revived the EWF spirit as the “LA Allstars” and later renamed it the “Al McKay Allstars”. On their world tour, they will recreate the experience of the EWF’s heyday in the 70s and 80s. They are considered the best funky band on the planet.

Martha High & The Soul Cookers – Best of
Martha High, the Goddess of Soul who accompanied James Brown for 35 years, brings her musical legacy and greatest hits to the Funky Festival. Martha still tours regularly with Maceo Parker’s band. She is recognized for her constant musical contributions to the history of soul music, including her 1968 Boston Garden concert on the night of Martin Luther King’s assassination. The Soul Cookers’ brilliant playing has been received with great enthusiasm by critics and audiences alike, tracing old and new tunes from Jazz to Soul, Blues to Funky.

The concert is organised by Green Stage Production, whose motto is:
“Protecting our Earth, and therefore our conscious goal is to calculate the Ecological Footprint of each event from the data of energy consumption required for the realization of each concert or performance we organize, and as a result of these calculations, to plant as many trees in our country that can compensate for this ecological footprint created”.
