Budapest Pride Festival

The Budapest Pride Parade will take place again on 22 June 2024. With the slogan “Take back the future”, it highlights the systemic problems in society (racism, housing crisis, ecological crisis, crisis of faith in democracy, homophobia, transphobia and sexism), which have different effects but similar roots and are mutually reinforcing, and the solutions to be found. This year, the Budapest Pride Community Festival will be held for the 29th time, and will start in the usual way. Is your 7th June free? Then you are welcome to the Opening Ceremony!

We will be launching the two-week-long series of events together with local cultural figures and active representatives of the LGBTQ community, with a number of local artists adding to the quality of the event. The festival will feature a series of performances, concerts, workshops and round-table discussions, running from 7 June until the day of the parade on 22 June.

On 22 June, the parade will end with a Rainbow Party in Budapest Park, where you will be free to dance with whoever you like. Join us in celebrating freedom, love and community at Hungary’s biggest LGBTQ party. This is an evening where everyone is free to be themselves without fear. Bring your colourful accessories, let’s cover Budapest Park in a rainbow!
