IN TOWN Hotpot

For a truly community experience, visit the IN TOWN Hotpot restaurant. If you’re not familiar with this type of Chinese food, you should definitely try it. The more people you get together, the greater the experience can be, as the meal here is based on sharing.

When you arrive at IN TOWN, you can use a tablet to choose the basic soup you want. You can ask for a one, two or three course basic soup. There’s a strong, mild and medium spicy Szechuan base, plus a more moderate-flavoured golden chicken soup, a sweet, tomato-based version and a fresher base with lime. Here we also mix the sauce ourselves, and it’s important to note that the base stock of the hot pot is not a soup, it’s not usually eaten, it’s just the ingredients that cook, so you’ll get the extra flavour from these sauces we mix. If you’re unsure, ask for help, but the instructions on the wall are also available. A proper hotpot takes 2-3 hours, so it’s worth coming here so that not only do the Wang’s give you the method, but we also take the time to give you an enjoyable and quality Chinese hotpot.
