A new temporary exhibition is open to visitors at the MAgyar House of Music from 18 May to 15 September.
If you’re into pop history, music is everything to you, and you’re a fan of world stars, then you must visit this exhibition. And the Hungarian House of Music, built in the heart of Városliget, couldn’t be a better venue.
Through the personal stories of Rihanna, Björk, Whitney Houston, Janelle Monáe, Tina Turner, Cher, Marilyn Monroe, Maria Callas, Edith Piaf, Ingrid Bergman and many other great performers – and their original costumes and costumes – the House of Music exhibition Diva & Icons showcases the extraordinary power and creativity of the divas.
This major exhibition is organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the world’s largest museum of applied art and design. The exhibition will close in its original venue in April 2024 and will be on show for the first time as a travelling exhibition at the House of Music from May 2024. After Budapest, it will travel to museums around the world. The V&A Diva exhibition, which has been running at full capacity since its opening, will give an insight into the history of the great divas, from the greats of opera and silent film stars to the stars of the silver screen and the world stars of today.
