St. Martin’s Day Candlelight Express

On November 11th, on the occasion of St. Martin’s Day, youcan take part in a fantastic trip on the Candlelight Express. (The folk customs on Martin’s Day are connected to the end of the year, the end of agricultural work, and the approach of Advent, and on the other hand, to the legend that St. Martin tried to hide in a goose barn when he was going to be elected bishop, but the geese betrayed him with their cackling.) You can take part in an unforgettable gastronomic experience with a special, candlelit dinner on the train consisting of cozy dining cars. Furthermore, during the three-hour journey, a pianist will complement the evening with wonderful music.

“Gyertyafény” Express’s impressive fleet of cozy bar and nostalgia dining cars will travel to Nagymaros on this day. The nearly three-hour program awaits couples and groups of friends with an unforgettable gastronomic experience. As part of our musical program, a pianist will entertain our guests in the cozy bar cart.
