World Press Photo Exhibition

Presenting the results of the 2025 World Press Photo Contest, the annual exhibition showcases the best and most important photojournalism and documentary photography of the last year. The winners were chosen by an independent jury made of 31 professionals from around the world who reviewed more than 59,320 photographs entered by 3,778 photographers from 141 countries.

World Press Photo was founded in 1955 when a group of Dutch photographers organized a contest (“World Press Photo”) to expose their work to an international audience. Since then, their mission has expanded. Their photo contest has grown into one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, rewarding the best in photojournalism and documentary photography. Through their successful worldwide exhibition program, they present to millions of people the stories that matter.
The World Press Photo is a creative, independent, nonprofit organization, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
