Concerto Budapest: Mozart Day. On March 2, 2025, Concerto Budapest will once again organize its annual, all-day concert series, which this year will be dedicated to one of the best-known and greatest figures in classical music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The aim of the event is for the audience to rediscover Mozart’s timeless art while enjoying the special moments offered by the orchestra’s artists and world-class guest performers. The concert series will create a special atmosphere on this day, in which everyone can immerse themselves in Mozart’s musical world, which offers an experience that is both entertaining and deeply thought-provoking for everyone.
This year, there will be no shortage of musical highlights and exciting guest artists. During the day, different genres, such as chamber music and concertos, will be given space. Visitors can hear timeless classics such as Mozart’s Horn Concerto in E flat major K. 447, Piano Concerto in C major K. 467, and the monumental Gran Partita K. 361, which come to life in the performances of the orchestra’s artists.
The special atmosphere of the program is provided by Angela Hewitt, one of the most respected pianists in the international music scene, who will take the stage this time as a returning guest of Concerto Budapest.
One of the highlights of the concert series will be the performance of Albrecht Mayer, who, as the solo oboist of the Berlin Philharmonic, will bring a special sound world to the program. The day will also be enriched with special experiences for the youngest, as pianist Izabella Simon will organize a traditional children’s program so that even the youngest can taste the magical world of Mozart.
This event is not just a concert, but a musical journey where visitors can experience every nuance of Mozart’s art. As Franz Schubert wrote: “This day will remain in my memory for the rest of my life as a bright, clear, beautiful memory”, we can be sure that March 2, 2025 will offer a lasting experience for all visitors.
The host of the day will be András Batta, music historian and managing director of the Hungarian Music House, who will help the audience to delve even deeper into Mozart’s musical legacy with personal commentary and analysis. Mozart Day 2025 will be a wonderful celebration of music, offering an unmissable experience for classical music lovers. Don’t miss this unique event!
