If you’re looking for a weekend program in Budapest where you can enjoy concerts, family activities, dance, theatre, sports, and a variety of special experiences, head to Andrássy Avenue from August 28–30.
TE!Feszt is coming to Budapest, offering a diverse range of programs for all ages over three days – and best of all, all programs are free of charge.
Friday: Concerts and Special Performances
The Friday program kicks off in the afternoon. On the main stage, the Papillon Random Dance Show opens the event at 4:30 PM, followed by Magashegyi Underground at 6:30 PM and Lóci játszik at 8:30 PM.
The smaller stage will feature family-friendly entertainment, including Kiskalász Zenekar, Danny Bain’s magical performance Kodzsugukila, a boszorkány, and magician Gábor Holcz.
There will also be plenty to discover throughout the festival area, including a giant puppet performance by the Három Jómadár Társulat, contemporary dance by Willany Leó, and a community music session with MagBeat Studio in the evening.
Saturday: A Full Day of Entertainment
The festival gets started in the morning on Saturday. The main stage will feature performances by Romano Glaszo, Hot Jazz Band, Los Orangutanes, and Molnár Tamás, with Soltész Rezső also taking the stage at 2:00 PM.
The smaller stage will focus primarily on family entertainment, with Búgócsiga Zenede, a puppet theatre performance, a musical fairy tale concert, Farkasházi Réka és a Tintanyúl, and a brass ensemble from the MÁV Symphony Orchestra.
There will also be plenty happening around the festival area, including an animal-themed performance by Bab Társulat, a tango demonstration and dance lesson, a majorette performance, a special show by Bélaműhely, and Salsa on the Square with DanceFormers Dance School in the evening.
Sunday: TE!MPÓ Family Sports Day
The third day of the weekend is all about movement and sports. On August 30, the TE!MPÓ Family Sports Day will welcome visitors from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
More Than a Market: A Whole World Along Andrássy Avenue
TE!Feszt is about much more than concerts and sports. The festival tents will host a wide variety of special activities and organizations.
Visitors can enjoy LEGO mosaics, digital caricatures, iris photography, glitter tattoos, painting workshops, felting, tango, chess, books, cycling activities, environmental initiatives, as well as Tesla test drives and drone demonstrations.
Those interested in culture can also meet representatives of numerous Budapest theatres and cultural institutions throughout the festival.
Three Days, Countless Programs, No Entrance Fee
One of the best things about TE!Feszt is that all programs are completely free, so whether you’re just stopping by for a concert or spending an entire day on Andrássy Avenue, there’s no admission fee to worry about.
The festival is a great choice for families, groups of friends, and anyone looking to experience as many different activities as possible over one weekend.
