The Magashegyi Underground will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their second album “Tegnapután” on Saturday with a special concert. The milestone album of the alternative rock band, founded in 2004, will be performed by the founders and new members of the band, together with Zoli Beck from 30Y.
In 2023, our second album “Tegnapután” will be 10 years old. This album was a milestone in our life: on the one hand, we wrote and arranged with a more mature and confident voice after the dreamy fairytale world of our first album, and we also adventured even more boldly, building on the experience and positive feedback of previous years. On the other hand, songs that reached a wider audience than ever before were included on this album, and we went from being a “promise” and a “secret favourite” to a band that could not be ignored – we played this material day and night. On 25 March 2023, we will return to Elisabeth Square, where we first played this material ten years ago, to perform it again and celebrate the anniversary in a fitting way. The longest-running five-piece (Bíborka Bocskor, Miklós Toldi, Gábor Fűrész, Máriusz Fodor, Mátyás Szepesi) will be joined by the musicians of today’s line-up and of course Zoli Beck, frontman of 30Y, with whom our long-standing friendship then became a blossoming collaboration. We welcome everyone who followed the band back then and those who could not be there during those important years.
