Vajnory Days

On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September, a combination of tradition, culture and fun awaits you in the Park under the Trees! You can look forward to an allegorical parade, concerts by well-known Slovak performers, folklore, local specialties and especially wine tasting.

This year, two traditional events – the Dožinky and Vajnory feasts – have once again been combined into one spectacular weekend full of traditions, folklore and unforgettable experiences.

Just like last year, when this event was organised for the first time, this year too the Vajnory wine-growers’ association – Via Vitis – will be present with its refreshments.

Saturday’s programme will kick off at 15:00 with a colourful allegorical parade that will pass through the streets from the local office to the centre of Vajnory. At the head of the parade you will see important personalities of social and cultural life, local clubs and associations, and many other participants.

After the parade you can enjoy a rich folklore and cultural programme with a wide range of refreshments from local stallholders. The highlight of the evening will be the concert of the popular singer Petr Cmorik, who will stir up the right atmosphere with his performance.

Sunday:

On Sunday at 10:30 a.m. the programme will begin with a solemn Holy Mass. Stalls with tasty specialties and a high quality artistic programme will be waiting for you throughout the day. Performers will include folklore ensembles, talented artists and the energetic cover band Funkiez will provide the evening entertainment.
