Also this month they have prepared a great program for you and your children in Bibiana. Come and experience a creative world full of interactive exhibitions, workshops and adventures.
1. AROUND THE WORLD: Interactive exhibition full of adventures
Date: 8 October 2024 – 20 April 2025
Go on an adventurous journey! A unique experience for the whole family
Inspired by Jules Verne’s famous novel Around the World in 80 Days, this interactive exhibition will transport visitors to a world of fantasy and discovery. Like the protagonist Phileas Fogg, you’ll place a bet and attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days. You will pass through nine unique environments that symbolise the different corners of our planet:
– Romantic Venice
– A bustling bazaar in the Middle East
– Wild African savannah
– Mysterious India
– The lush rainforest of South America
– The chilling landscape of the Arctic
Interactive challenges and puzzles await you in each environment. For solving them, you’ll get clues in your passport that will allow you to continue your journey. Those who successfully complete all the challenges will discover the treasure of Phileas Fogg himself at the end!
The exhibition combines a light experience with elements of escape and tracking games. It is a collective work of the creative centre DEPO2015 from Pilsen, with which BIBIANA has successfully cooperated for the third time. UNICEF is also a partner of the exhibition and contributes to enriching the programme with global themes.
Accompanying programs:
● Guided tours for schools and organized groups
Bookings at: realizacia@bibiana.sk or by phone on 02/20 467 223 on weekdays from 9:00 to 14:00.
● Workshops for all visitors
Hedgehogs is a unique programme for children aged 6 to 10 years from UNICEF Thanks to Hedgehogs, children will explore the world with a big brown envelope full of surprises and with Bruno the Hedgehog, the stories of children from different countries, as well as themselves. Hedgehog Books are a gift that will make a child’s whole year more enjoyable. In a playful way, they will learn interesting information about the countries that Hedgehog visits and get answers to the questions swirling in their little heads. At the same time, adults can give the child a Hedgehog and this original and useful gift to support UNICEF’s programmes to help children in need. Parents will also find practical advice from experienced Slovak psychologists on common problems they encounter.
The stories about Hedgehog Bruno were written by Zuzana Štelbaská, author of books for children and young people, and illustrated by Adrián Macho. Children can thus look forward to pages full of adventures, journeys and interesting encounters with children in various other parts of the world. Bruno the Hedgehog will take them to India, Vanuatu, Africa, Jordan and Peru, for example, and introduce them to the little friends he meets on his travels.
“The cooperation of UNICEF in Slovakia with BIBIANA on the exhibition AROUND THE WORLD – HOLIDAYS FROM AROUND THE WORLD with Hedgehogs is a unique opportunity for us to support the development of creativity, cognition and empathy in children. We believe that through art and creative activities we can inspire children to learn more about other countries and the lives of children in them and to perceive the world around them with even greater intensity and understanding,” said Martin Oubrecht, Executive Director of the Slovak Foundation for UNICEF.
UNICEF is one of the world’s most important humanitarian organizations, helping children in need since 1946. It operates in more than 190 countries, in the hardest to reach places. It works day in and day out to help children in need survive. It protects their rights, provides them with water, food, shelter, medicine, education, so they have a chance to reach their potential. A UNICEF supporter or a JEWELLERY subscriber becomes a member of a big family that cares about protecting children everywhere.
Entry Organization:
● Individual visitors: entries every 15 minutes, maximum 10 people per term. During school days, entries may be adjusted to accommodate organized groups.
● Last entry: 60 minutes before the end of opening hours.

Come and discover a world full of adventures!
2. HOW WE LIVE WOOD: Puppet Art Exhibition of the Pilatovský family
Date: 8 October – 1 November 2024
Location: Dušana Rolla Gallery
Animare silva means “to animate wood” in Latin. This motto accompanies the husband and wife team of Jana and Petr Pilatovský, who have made and founded a classical puppet theatre with the aim of breathing new life into wooden puppets.
Since 2009, they have been offering theatrical performances for children and adults from 1 to 99 years old – for all those who have not lost their childhood world in which good triumphs over evil. The exhibition HOW WE BRING WOOD TO LIFE offers a glimpse into their original creations and presents the most interesting pieces in the form of wooden puppets, marionettes and props, made with craftsmanship and love.
Discover the magic of puppet theatre
