No Name a Nocadeň concert

In August 2023, NO NAME and NOCADEŇ will present a joint song “In the original version”, which heralds the release of the new NO NAME album, as well as a joint Czech-Slovak tour of both bands.

It’s here folks. The tour kicks off in their hometown of Košice on 21.3.2024, then continues with a concert in Bratislava on 23.3.2024. In April, the tour will move to the Czech Republic: Ostrava – Hala Tatran on 5.4.2024, Brno – SONO Musicclub on 12.4.2024, Prague O2 Universum on 20.04.2024.

The union of two exceptional voices in a live concert version, can only be experienced on a joint tour!!!! The duet by Igor Timko and Rass Kopin entitled In the original version comes from the band’s upcoming album of the same name, NO NAME. Igor and Rasto are former classmates from the Košice State Conservatory, who even sat on the same bench. This is the first ever artistic collaboration of these two bands.

“Igor and I have a long friendship since high school. After my return to the conservatory, we even sat in the same pew. And I also remember Igor playing me their first demos. Our destinies are quite intertwined, so a common song is just a logical outcome. We both knew what to expect from each other, after so many years, but I still feel that we managed to surprise each other a bit. Rasto Kopina from NOCADEŇ revealed with a smile.

“NOCADEŇ are exceptional in terms of authorship and poetry. The new song makes me feel that we are pulling each other into other worlds and other poetics. Rasto is a perceptive and sensitive person, we have known each other since our student days. We were 15 years old and studied at the music and drama department at the state conservatory in Košice. I think that our cooperation was not a question of why, but when,” confessed Igor Timko.

By releasing our last full-length album in 2015, the ideas gradually came. The new song is a taster of our new album, which is due for release in the coming weeks. Again, we are sticking to our defined principle of “sing what you live and live what you sing… It comes quite naturally to our generation of forty-somethings that we are fully in the process of maturing, perhaps in the middle of life’s journey. And it is at this time that one needs a sense of security, that one has someone to rely on, that one knows where one belongs… “For wings grow only to those who trust others” The confrontation of oneself with life is an expected moment,” concludes Igor Timko.

Nocadeň is a Slovak rock band from Košice, formed by brothers Rasto and Robo Kopinovec. Among their biggest hits are the songs “Steny”, “Vietor a dážď”, “Pod lampou” and “Organizmy,” Words Say Nothing Anymore”, “Be a Star”.
