From November 3 to 17, 2025, Bratislava will once again become the city of freedom. During two weeks in November, the Festival of Freedom will offer a varied program of film screenings, concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, and discussions.
The festival was created as a reminder of the period of oppression in Slovakia and today is an international multi-genre event that combines culture and public discussion about freedom and democracy.
The Festival of Freedom will also bring a party full of music, art, and shared energy to the center of Bratislava.

A gentle Saturday at Šafko will combine music, visual art, and community atmosphere into a single all-day program in which freedom becomes an experience. The Šafko club will open its doors in the morning and offer a space where different musical styles and generations will take turns over the course of six hours.
11:00 a.m. – Doors open
11:30 a.m. – DJ White Wolf
The youngest performer at the Festival of Freedom, an 11-year-old DJ who has been DJing for a year and a half. He trains at Mäsokombinát DJ Room in Bratislava under the guidance of DJs Andee and C:rcle and plays tech house and drum & bass styles.
1:30 p.m. – DJ BooBoo
a fixture on the Slovak drum & bass scene with more than fifteen years of history, will provide a lively DnB dance party.
3:30 p.m. – Laura Plis
plays energetic techno with a distinctive groove, which will also be featured at Šafko, this time as part of a colorful, electric set.
During the daytime party, visitors will also be able to see the international exhibition of cartoon humor “Kýchajúci rozum / Sneezing Brain,” dedicated to freedom of thought and freedom of expression.
The exhibition will present works by international authors who use humor, caricature, and satire to reflect on social events and show that art can also address serious issues of today with ease and perspective. Cartoon humor as a visual language combines entertainment with reflection and develops the ability to “read between the lines.”
