Fairytale creatures, ghosts, goblins, vampires, or fairies, concerts, theatre, dance groups, torchlight march through Bratislava at night, all this awaits you on Saturday 26 October from 14:00 on the Main Square.
A party with hits by Miro Jaroš and frog slime for the little ones, a concert by Kali and scary stories from the torture chamber for the big ones, that’s what Turbo Halloween in the city will be like, where Kaufland Children’s Festival invites you. Fun is guaranteed, chills too. Who will join the ghosts and vampires for a torchlight march through Bratislava at night?
Did you also think that witches, fairies or vampires exist only in movies and fairy tales? It may sound scary, but you’ll find them in Bratislava, which has some truly terrifying stories. For example, the one about the terrifying Black Lady, who was once burned at Michael’s Gate and now wanders around as a ghost in a black dress. You can meet the White Lady in the streets of the city for a change on Lucia, when she goes to get a keg of wine at the Green House tavern. And there is never enough caution on the embankment near the Slovak National Theatre, where the waterman himself is said to have his lair. Don’t you believe in ghost stories? So be careful, lest they start sharpening their claws on you. We have information that on Saturday, 26 October, they are going to Halloween in Bratislava’s Old Town. All generations will be scared at the Kaufland Children’s Festival, even those who claim that ghosts don’t exist.
Bosorky and Loktibrada
Great fun will break out on the Main Square in the afternoon, when the little ones will be treated to a theatrical performance with the Turbine, or a story by the children’s dance group H&T based on the motifs of Wednesday, a girl from the haunted school. And you’ll also find out that no one will be bored with the Kaufland Children’s Festival in the streets of Bratislava at the spooky Old Town Hall Courtyard, where your little ones’ creative hands can make original pumpkins, their own Talentus® masks or cook up some frog slime. The famous Loktibrad, the mischievous black dragon, the terrifying bossorka and other heroes of Dobšinský’s folk tales are also already plotting how to scare the bejesus out of everyone.
Famous faces are also looking forward to a Halloween in the city like you just don’t see. Veronika Hatala, or rather Morticia from the Adams family, Oliver Oswald and Samo Procházka will take you together with Turbo TV to the scariest places in Bratislava. So, do you still think that ghosts are only in movies and fairy tales?
A big party
The Kaufland Children’s Festival is always a good party and the one that will be taken care of by DJ Dasso, only thirteen years old, will be the best Halloween disco you’ve ever experienced, because everyone will go crazy to the remixed hits of Miro Jaroš. And when it gets dark outside, the Monster’s Ball-style spectacular will be blasted off by the popular Kali together with Petron Pann. But the best, or rather the scariest, awaits you in Bratislava in the evening. A spectacular Halloween march with torches that will light up the streets of the capital. Yes, all the ghosts will be there, so when a mysterious ghost or vampire walks past you in the dark, you’ll get goosebumps. And when’s the best time to show you’re not a scarecrow and can overcome your own fears? In the haunted alley, because once you’ve been down it, you’ll never be scared of anything again.
Not a step without a mask
If you have a long way to Bratislava, it doesn’t matter. As always, you can watch Halloween in the city, brought to you for free by Kaufland Children’s Festival, online. On detskyfest.sk or via Turbo TV, which will broadcast live from the event.
And don’t forget the costumes. Vampires, witches or devils, all are welcome and will save you from the worst. Because whoever shows up on the streets as a mere mortal may end up as dinner for the spooks. So, are you coming along with us to enjoy the chills, and most of all, great fun? If you’re scared, don’t go into the woods, but come to Halloween in the City on October 26, where we can be scared together. The heroes of Bratislava’s spooky tales, ghosts and monsters are already waiting for their big day.
