Slobodná Európa and Chiki Liki Tu-a concerts

Two iconic bands, Slobodná Európa and Chiki Liki Tu-a, are setting out on a joint tour.

“We’ve been friends with the guys from Chiki Liki Tu-a for decades, so we figured it was time to play some concerts together. I think it’ll be a really great collaboration,” – says Sveťo Korbeľ, guitarist and founding member of Slobodná Európa.

Since its formation in 1989, Slobodná Európa has been among the leading punk-rock ’n’ roll bands, and many of their songs rank among the best ever produced on the Slovak music scene. The current lineup consists of: Whisky – vocals, Sveťo – guitar, vocals, Peťo Bálik – guitar, Rasťo Gore – bass guitar, vocals, Tuleň – drums.

Chiki Liki Tu-a

The Prešov-based alternative band Chiki Liki Tu-a celebrated 30 years since its founding and, at the same time, reached another milestone in its career: 1,500 concerts performed. The band refuses to be confined to a single genre, drawing inspiration from a wide variety of styles. Their music is often described as alternative, with elements of humor and a lighthearted approach. Chiki liki tu-a are considered one of the most distinctive and most frequently performing Slovak bands abroad, and their music is a celebration of originality and fun. Their current lineup consists of: Martin Višňovský—bass guitar, vocals; Stanislav Sninský—guitar; and Tomáš Višňovský—drums.
